SWITZERLAND, AUGUST 4 – The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced that it has recorded an all time peak power generation of 5377.8 MW.

“The Transmission Company of Nigeria hereby state that it has recorded an enhanced all time peak generation of 5377.8 MW on 01/08/2020 at 21:30hrs.

“The new peak which surpasses the previous one recorded 07/02/2019 by 2.8 MW, was successfully transmitted to distribution load centres nationwide,” TCN announced via a tweet on Monday.

With this new development, power supply is expected to improve significantly across Nigeria.

Today’s Echo gathers that the rise in power generation is expected because the hydro electric power generating facilities increase their production capacity due to the rise in water supply.
