SWITZERLAND, JANUARY 16 – Following the January 14 Supreme Court judgement which replaces Emeka Ihedioha with Hope Uzodinma as Imo State Governor, the Peoples Democractic Party(PDP) has scheduled to hold an emergency NEC meeting on Friday, January 17, 2020, to discuss the state of the nation.

The announcement was signed by Umar Tsauri, the Party’s National Secretary.

A message on the PDP’s Twitter handle reads:

“All members of the @OfficialPDPNig NEC are hereby invited to an emergency meeting of the NEC as follows: Date -Friday, 17th Jan., 2020. Venue-NEC Hall, Abuja. Time-10Am.

“Members are enjoined to attend as the meeting will discuss the state of the nation. “

The Supreme Court on Tuesday, declared Senator Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress(APC) as governor of Imo State, effectively replacing governor Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).

The seven-member panel of justices held that Emeka Ihedioha was not duly elected Governor.

Delivering the judgment, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun said the votes due to Uzodinma and APC from 318 polling units were wrongly excluded and should be added.
