Supreme Court has dismissed the case against Nigeria’s Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
The Court says the prosecution team has failed to prove its case against Bukola Saraki beyond reasonable doubt.
It would be recalled that Justice Musa Mohammed Dattijo-led 5-man panel of the Supreme Court had on April 12 this year fixed today for judgment in the appeal of Senate President, Bukola Saraki, against the ruling of the Court of Appeal in his alleged false declaration of his assets trial.
The main appeal and cross-appeal are on the false assets declaration trial involving the Senate President.
The Court of Appeal restored three out of the 18 charges and ordered Saraki to enter defence on the matter.
Saraki appealed the decision to the Supreme Court and prayed the apex court to among others, restore the decision of the CCT and dismiss the charge in its entirety.
