Senate Confirms J.T Tsoho as Chief Judge of the Federal High Court

SWITZERLAND, NOVEMBER 05 – The Senate has confirmed the appointment of Hon. Justice J.T Tsoho as the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court.

The upper legislative chamber confirmed the judge during its plenary session on Tuesday. The Senate had gone on recess on October 30, from which it resumed on Tuesday, November 5.

“The confirmation of Hon. Justice J.T Tsoho as the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court is approved,” the Senate announced via a tweet on Tuesday afternoon.

In his remarks, Senate President, Ahmed Lawan said:

“Let me congratulate the nominee, we are wishing him the best of tenure, the judiciary is supposed to be a very active one; we need to also have a better capacity for judiciary to create a situation where they will have more hands to deal with judiciary cases. “
