SWITZERLAND, JULY 15 – Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has unveiled his cabinet, nearly two months after his inauguration.
A statement by the Lagos State Government reveals that the Governor has transmitted 25 names of Commissioners and Special Advisers to State House of Assembly for screening.
“In fulfilment of his election promise to accelerate his administration’s development agenda, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Sunday, transmitted a list of Commissioner-designates to the House of Assembly for ratification,” the statement reads.
“The twenty-five names were carefully picked by the Governor based on their cognate experience in their respective professions and they are expected to assume duty as Commissioners and Special Advisers upon ratification by the legislature.
“The list has youth who are under 40years for Commissioners and Special Advisers as well as a reasonable number of women thereby making the proposed cabinet members gender-balanced and youth inclusive.”
