Osinbajo receives UK Foreign Secretary, Jeremy Hunt(photos)

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday, hosted a delegation from the United Kingdom, led by Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt at the State house, Aso Rock.

“Vice President Prof Osinbajo received a UK delegation, led by UK Foreign Secretary, Mr. Jeremy Hunt. The VP also witnessed the signing of a communique of the first Nigeria-UK Economic Development Forum at the State House, Abuja, ” the Nigerian government tweeted on Tuesday from its official handle.

The Minister of Trade and Investment, Okechukwu Onyelama was also at the event.

“On the relationship between Nigeria and United Kingdom, the Vice President said, “it is of strategic importance to Nigeria” while welcoming the opportunity to actively grow the commercial bilateral relationship with the United Kingdom through the Economic Development Forum (EDF). Nigerian government, ” the government said in an official statement released on the visit.

Osinbajo is currently representing President Muhhamadu Buhari who is on a 10-day private trip to the UK.
