Osinbajo Presides Over Last Economic Council Meeting of Buhari’s First Term(Photos)

SWITZERLAND, MAY 23 – Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Thursday, presided over the last National Economic Council(NEC) meeting of President Muhammadu Buhari’s first term ahead of the president’s inauguration on May 29.

The NEC comprises of the 36 state governors and the governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The NEC is empowered by section 18 of the 1999 constitution to advise the president on the necessary measures for coordinating the economic planning efforts and economic programmes of the various governments of the federation.

This follows the last Federal Executive Council meeting of Buhari’s first term, which took place on Wednesday.
