
Vice President Yemi Osibajo has told the story of a young man in Nassarawa, who started his farm with N1.5 million in 2017 and has grown it to N1 billion in 2019.
Osinbajo was reffering to Reston Tedheke, a young farmer he met during his visit to Nassarawa state on Thursday. According to Osinbajo, Reston started with 3 hectares and is now operating on 3000 hectares.
” In 2017, Reston Tedheke started a farm with 1.5 Million Naira & today, it is worth about 1 Billion Naira Visiting Reston’s farm, I saw a story of national unity and integration: a man from Bayelsa who relocated to the NorthCentral & got free land from the local community,” the Vice president said on Thursday via Twitter.
“Reston started with 3 hectares and is now operating on 3000 hectares. Reston says he was inspired by President Buhari’s focus on Agricultural diversification of the Nigerian economy,” he added.
