Vice President Osinbajo was absent at a meeting hosted by President Muhammadu Buhari at the government house, Aso Rock, Abuja on Tuesday, with the heads of security agencies
Today’s Echo gathered that the purpose of the meeting was to co-ordinate security for the upcoming gubernatorial elections.
In attendance were all four military service chiefs, the Inspector General of police and heads of all other security agencies.
The Secretary to the Federation, Boss Mustapha, Chief of Staff to the president; Abba Kyari, the Minister of Interior, Alhaji Dambazau and Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai were also in attendance.

“VP Osinbajo is now in Aba, where he, alongside the APC Guber candidate in Abia State, Dr. Uche Ogah, is headlining a Stakeholders Forum. There is excitement here & Next Level engagements in progress in SE, ” Laolu Akande, his media assistant said in a statement.
It is not clear why Governor El-Rufai was in a security meeting that was not attended by the Vice President and other governors.
