Nnamdi Kanu’s Brother requests for his dead body as Military denies knowing his whereabouts

Emmanuel Kanu, the younger brother to pro-Biafra activist, Nnamdi Kanu, says his family has been searching for the activist and his parents for two weeks without making any headway.

The army dismisses the notion that the IPOB leader is being held in its custody.

Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe is queried by his colleagues for standing as surety for Kanu Emmanuel Kanu, the younger brother to pro-Biafra activist, Nnamdi Kanu, has called on the military authorities to release the corpse of the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) if he has been killed.

JNI Emmanuel made the call on Tuesday, September 26, when speaking on the continued disappearance of the IPOB leader following a raid by the military on their residence in Abia state on September 14.

“It is either they (soldiers) captured him or killed him when they attacked our house. If they captured him, they should release him to the police, and if they have killed him, they should produce the corpse because he was last seen moments before the raid,” he said in a report published on The Cable.

The session was said to have started with a briefing by Abaribe on IPOB and the intervention of the military in the southeast geopolitical zone.
