Nigerian Army successfully repels Boko Haram attack in Yobe
The Nigerian Army has announced that troops had repelled an attack by Boko Haram insurgents on Sunday.
“Five members of Boko Haram terrorists have met their waterloo as they along with others BHTs attempted woefully to ransack a military base at Buni yadi, in Gujba LGA of Yobe State at about 06:05 hours (pm) on Saturday the 16th of February, 2019,” the Nigerian Army said a statement available to Today’s Echo.
In a related development, troops of 231, 331 Batalion and Special Forces in the early hours of Saturday the 16th of February, 2019 effectively ambushed some boko haram terrorists around Warawara general area of Borno State.
“Troops of Op Lafiya Dole, 151 Bn at about 1921hrs on 16 Feb 19 embarked on aggressive fighting patrol and also mounted an ambush along Jebbra – Firgi Banki axis of Borno State, a notable crossing point of the BHTs, “the statement said
