Following the invitation of Senator Ademola Adeleke by the police on allegations of exam malpractices, the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) has alleged that the case is a ploy to distract Adeleke, who is the party’s candidate in Saturday’s Osun state governorship election.

PDP wrote on its official twitter page:

“The sudden realisation of allegations that Adeleke was involved in a NECO exam malpractice in 2017, as well as his subsequent invitation by the police, barely two days to the governorship election, is a ploy by the to distract”

In another Tweet, the PDP said, ” NECO Allegation:The should desist from acting the script of the All Progressives Congress (APC) against our governorship candidate in the September 22, Osun State governorship election, Senator Ademola Adeleke.

The party further said,  “it is instructive to let the APC the compromised security and INEC officials to know that the Osun people are already at alert; they are very anxious about this election and are fully rallied to use all legitimate means allowed in the defence of their mandate.”

Recall that yesterday, Today’s Echo had reported that the Nigerian police has released a statement declaring the  Senator Ademola Adeleke and four others wanted on charges of impersonation and exam malpractices. The police alleged that Adeleke impersonated a secondary school student and sat for the NECO examination in July 2017.
