Dabiri – Erewa visits Saudi ambassador after Senate confirmation as CEO of Diaspora commission (photos)

Senior Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abike Dabiri-Erewa has visited the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Nigeria, on Thursday, shortly after the Senate confirmed her as the CEO of the Nigerian Diaspora Commission.

“H.E. Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Adnan Mahmoud Bostaji, met in his office today with Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, SSA to the President on Foreign Affairs & Diaspora. Issues of common interest were discussed and understanding was reached on coordinating such issues,” the Saudi Arabian embassy in Nigeria announced via Twitter on Thursday.

The Senate had confirmed Dabiri-Erewa during its plenary sitting where several issues were discussed, including the approval of budget for the NDDC and the presidential reappointment of the CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele.

The Nigerian Senate president, Bukola Saraki congratulated her on her confirmation:

Dabiri Erewa was instrumental to the release of Zainab Aliyu, the Nigerian lady who was recently detained by the Saudi authorities on wrongful charges of drug trafficking.
