Buhari’s son to be transferred to Germany for further treatment

Yusuf Buhari, son of President Muhammadu Buhari who was involved in a motorcycle accident is to be flown to Germany for treatment.

A twitter post credited to online newspaper, Shahara Reporters states that the injuries which Yusuf sustained to his head are serious and would require further medical attention abroad.

Sahara Reporters in its tweet stated that “Yusuf Buhari To Be Transferred To Germany For Further Treatment Over Brain Injury.”


Yusuf sustained injuries to the head when he fell off his motorcycle in December during a drag-racing motorbike accident in Gwanripa neighbourhood in Abuja.


According to Sahara Reporters, he will be taken to St. Josefs Hospital in Wiesbaden, Germany where he will receive comprehensive treatment that may last for weeks. Yusuf will be accompanied by his mother, Aisha Buhari, the daughter of the President, Mrs. Halima Buhari-Sheriff, the personal physician to the first lady, Dr. Kamal Mohammed and three other aides. He has remained largely unresponsive to treatment at Cedarcrest Hospital where he was first taken after the bike accident.
