Security forces have blocked the convoy of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and surrounded his house as he left home for the National Assembly on Tuesday morning, media sources have revealed.
Also, the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu is said to have been surrounded by security forces including the police and the DSS in his home.
Saraki had been invited by the police for an 8am meeting over the infamous Offa robbery in Kwara State where he was alleged to have had previous dealings with the robbers.
However, Saraki, on Monday night described the invitation as a ploy to prevent the mass exodus from the ruling All Progressives Congress scheduled for Tuesday by lawmakers aggrieved with the President.
Today’s Echo has been informed of a planned mass arrest of APC lawmakers who want to decamp today and blockage of the National Assembly.
Below is a twitter video purportedly showing security agents in front of Saraki’s Abuja residence.
