Boko Haram Have Been Degraded, They are Now Bandits: Buhari

SWITZERLAND, SEPTEMBER 11 – President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that the terror group Boko Haram has been seriously degraded and are now bandits. The president also said the government will treat Boko Haram fighters as bandits.
This was contained in a statement released by the presidency o Tuesday.
” “Boko Haram has been degraded, but its members are still a nuisance around Lake Chad and surrounding islands. That is why we are cooperating with Chad, Cameroon, Niger Republic, and other countries… [BH] are bandits, and we will continue to treat them as such,” the president said.
