Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg earlier today, sat down for a joint Senate committee hearing on the working of his social media.

The observation may not be unconnected to the question of Sen. Brian Schatz who said, “If I’m emailing within WhatsApp, does that ever inform your advertisers?” to which Zuckerberg answered “okay. So. WhatsApp is encrypted. Also … are we calling WhatsApp messages emails now? Cool.”
unable to contain his distaste, Sen. John Kennedy attacked the internet expert with the words, “Your user agreement sucks.”
Expressing fear of having no privacy with Facebook, Sen. Bill Nelson said, “If you and other social media companies do not get your act in order, none of us are going to have any privacy anymore. That’s what we’re facing.” Mark’s response to this was, “Senator Nelson is slightly histrionic here. After all, there are a ton of people who don’t have Facebook…”
