SWITZERLAND, SEPTEMBER 03 – As the spate of xenophobic attacks against Nigerians and other Africans in South Africa escalates, the issue has taken over discussions in the public sphere.

One of the people that have openly spoken against the xenophobia is South African born American comedian, Trevor Noah who said xenophobia is misplaced anger, built out of inferiority complex.

In a message that has gone viral on the social media, Noah argued that the notion by black South Africans that their fellow Africans are the ones denying them access to scarce resources is wrong since Africa migrants control less than 1 per cent of the wealth in South Africa while white people control over 85 per cent.
