
Several parts of Lagos have been inundated by water making mobility difficult after a heavy rain that lasted for over four hours on Monday morning.
Many Nigerians have taken to Twitter to lament how they found it difficult to get to work on Monday morning and how there areas have been taken over by water.



Areas affected include Lagos Island, Ogba, Dolphin Estate Ikoyi, Lekki, and VGC.
Today’s Echo correspondent reported seeing people wading through knee high water in an upscale estate close to Lekki.
A Twitter user with the name Samuel O Williams said he got stuck at his door due to the rain.
“What type of bad belle rain is this? Pls someone help me beg this Lagos rain to stop right now. I’ve been stocked at my door for the past 1hr hoping it will stop and I jet out. We die here today. I won’t go back inside,” Samuel said

It is bad that people find it very difficult to get to work. Some people are also worried that while they are at work, their home ma have been flooded with water due to the incessant rain.
“Once upon a time in my life, I could never sit comfortably at work while rain fell endlessly like this in Lagos. The fear of going back home to a river would drive me nuts. Thank God for growth,” Twitter user, Olawale Adetula said.
