SWITZERLAND, MAY 24 – There is palpable tension at Caleb University, a private tertiary institution in Imota, Lagos as students protest new rules imposed by the school management.

Today’s Echo gathers that the Caleb University management called in the police after students trooped out enmasse in protest against what they see as unfair and unnecessary harsh; a highly unusual scenario in a private University.

Protesting students are seen in a video released on social media, shouting at police officers to ‘shoot them’. As the officers shoot tear gar cannisters into the crowd, students scamper in different directions.
