SWITZERLAND, JULY 10 – The Lagos State Government has sealed some illegal traditional medicine facilities in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
The Lagos State government reported on Tuesday via its Twitter handle:
“Officials of Lagos Traditional Medicine Board sealed the facilities of some illegal traditional medicine practitioners in Ikorodu area of the State in its quest to rid Lagos of unwholesome practices.”
Today’s Echo gathers that the Lagos State Traditional Medicine Board was established by the administration of Alhaji Lateef Jakande. Then the executive governor in 1980, by law 13th of governor in 1980 caps 103 of 19194.
The board was establish to regulate the code of conduct and practice of traditional medicine practitioners in Lagos state to accredit, inspects, monitor and license all traditional medicine practitioners and traditional clinics/health facilities premises.
