FBI Reportedly Arrests Hushpuppi in Connection With Washington State Unemployment Fraud

SWITZERLAND, JUNE 10 – Nigerian socialite, Raymond Igbalodely, popularly known as Hushpuppi has reportedly been arrested by the FBI in Dubai alongside other ‘big boys’ including fellow socialite, Woodberry.

According to reports, FBI agents had swooped on a hotel where Hushpuppi, Woodberry and their friends were partying in Dubai and arrested them in commando fashion on Tuesday evening.

It had earlier been rumoured that Hushpuppi and his alleged accomplice, Woodbery ambushed a $35 million deal from an American state.

According to blogger, Kemi Olunloyo, they allegedly were part of a Nigerian scam ring who stole COVID-19 Stimulus cash through fraudulent unemployment benefits.

Recall that Today’s Echo had reported that Washington state in the United States of America lost “hundreds of millions of dollars” to a Nigerian fraud ring which used stolen information to file false unemployment claims.

Hushpuppi’s flashy lifestyle that involves private jets, expensive cars, pictures in luxurious hotels and clubs, and costly drinks have made him popular on social media. He spends a significant amount of money on financing his lavish living. When asked once about the source of his income, he said he is a ‘professional beggar.

The alleged arrest has hit Nigeria’s social media space with Hushpuppi trending on twitter Wednesday.
