COVID-19: Nigeria Records 648 New Cases, Total Infections Exceed 41,000

SWITZERLAND, JULY 28 – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 648 new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 41,180.

According to the NCDC, 18, 203 patients have been discharged upon treatment and recovery in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

It added that 860 associated deaths have been recorded all over the country.

The NCDC gave the state-by-state distribution of the cases confirmed on Friday as, Lagos-180 FCT-44 Oyo-29 Kano-9 Benue-9 Kwara-38 Ondo-42 Delta-9 Edo-17 Plateau-148 Bauchi-1 Ekiti-11 Niger-7 Borno-1 Ogun-17 Osun-20 Rivers-32 Imo-1 Kaduna-21 Gombe-3.”
