President Buhari has remembered and praised the heroic acts of Dr Stella Adadevoh, who sacrificed herself to forestall an Ebola epidemic in 2014.

This is as the president signed the bill for the Nigeria center for disease Control(NCDC) into law.

“One of the Bills I signed into law last week is for an Act establishing the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC). The Agency has existed for seven years, without enabling legislation. Now has an Act, and is further empowered to deliver on its very important mandate”

Buhari had earlier praised late Dr Adadevoh on October 27 during her posthumous birthday, saying “Dr Stella Adadevoh would have turned 62 today. Today and always we celebrate her dedication and sacrifice. As part of our efforts to build on her legacy our administration has put great effort into strengthening the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC)”
