Jurgen Klopp is set to unleash his Fab Four and turn Liverpool’s Champions League campaign into a work of art as he prepares for the duel in Moscow.

Klopp will get the chance to team lightning-quick Philippe Coutinho, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah together from the start for the first time since pre-season.

The Kop boss described them as “artists” and it is easy to understand why as Liverpool now possess four of the most exciting attacking players in Europe.

To send out all four from the start here on Tuesday would represent a gamble because a trip to Moscow is no walk in the park. But Klopp has never been afraid to go gung-ho and he knows he needs a result against Spartak after being held by Sevilla two weeks ago.

Klopp said: “Now I am excited, because we have all of the boys here. They all have to fit together and that is what we have to try.

“It is not about being spectacular, it is about being clinical and having perfect timing. We cannot just bring in all the artists — but if it fits together, we will do it.

“It is good to have them all, but that doesn’t mean anything. I don’t believe in names. I believe in performances.

“The balance has to be right. We are an offensive team but this is the Champions League. We need results. In the right moments, you need to do the right things.”

That defeat of Bayern is still fresh in the memory of Liverpool’s German boss.

“The Bayern game was eight weeks ago,” he said. “They were the better side until we scored and then the game changed. That is how it sometimes happens.”

Liverpool have been through a lot since those pre-season days, notably the Coutinho-Barcelona saga and Senegal star Mane’s controversial red card at Manchester City.

But Saturday’s victory at Leicester ended a four-match winless run and gave confidence a shot in the arm before this showdown in Moscow.
