Osinbajo visits areas affected by flood in Kogi State(photos)
The Vice president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo has visited areas in Kogi State that were recently affected by intense flooding and interacted with displaced victims. He was accompanied by the Governor of Kogi State, Yahya Bello
Yesterday, Osinbajo’s media aide, Laolu Akande announced:
“VP Osinbajo arrives Kogi to continue visits to States affected by the floods. He has been to Niger, Anambra and Delta last week with messages of relief and restoration from the President”
According to Akande, Osinbajo, who was accompanied by the Kogi State Governor, was at the palace of Ohimege of Koton Karfe, having flown over the areas affected by the floods including several parts submerged. He will then visit people affected at their temporary relocation.
“Speaking at the palace of the Ohimege of Katon Karfe, Kogi, Osinbajo explains that the President sent him to commiserate with the people over the floods and see to their welfare in the circumstances. He adds that FG will provide assistance to those affected & in places damaged,” Akande said.
