SWITZERLAND, MAY 31 – Embattled Nigerian musician, Afeez Fashola, known as Naira Marley has released a new song on the same day he was granted bail application.
Naira Marley was arrested alongside three others who have ben released. He is accused of indulging in internet fraud, known as Yahoo Yahoo.
On May 30, the Federal High Court in Lagos granted bail in the sum of N2m to Naira Marley, who was arraigned on charges of cyber fraud. Justice Nicholas Oweibo granted the bail with two sureties in like sum.
The judge said one of the sureties must be a civil servant not below Grade Level 10.
The judge said the other surety must own a landed property in Lagos State.
He adjourned till October 22 for trial to commence.
“Why” by Naira Marley was released on his behalf by his record label, Moves Record while still cooling off in Ikoyi Prison, for his alleged involvement in Yahoo Yahoo.
