Arsenal and Egyptian enforcer, Mohammed El Neny will play no part in the remainder of the current campaign for his club, Arsene Wenger confirms.
El Neny, 25, was stretchered off the field after landing awkwardly during last weekend’s 4-1 victory over West Ham at the Emirates. The injury has raised doubts over his involvement for his county at the upcoming Russia World Cup.
Fortunately, the midfielder will likely be ready to participate in the World Cup but not before then. Commenting on the injury Arsene Wenger said:”Mohamed Elneny is out for the rest of the season. He has a little, little chance to play at Huddersfield (season finale), But I think he will be available for Egypt at the World Cup, but not anymore for Arsenal.”
El Neny alongside Mohammed Salah is charged with the responsibility of spearheading Egypt’s first World Cup campaign since 1990.
