SWITZERLAND, AUGUST 25 – The Kings University, Ode-Omu, Osun State, has taken another step towards its vision of raising transformational leaders after the National Universities Commission (NUC) granted full accreditation status for more of its academic programmes in the last accreditation exercise.
According to the Commission’s Director of Accreditation, Dr. Maryam Sali who signed the letter communicating the approval to the Vice-Chancellor, the full accreditation status is valid for five years.
Founded by the Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) in 2015, the vision of Kings University is to raise quality leaders that would transform Nigeria and continually sustain her as a technologically advanced nation. The university believes that a solution could be found to the devastating problems facing Nigeria, and the answer needed is the transformation of the minds of the coming generation.
According to the Vice-Chancellor, Kings University, Professor Adenike Kuku, the latest accreditation is another milestone in the preparedness of the University in taking on the challenges of providing quality tertiary education and the development of the total man-mind of prospective candidates.
“We will not relent in our efforts towards strengthening the quality of our academic programmes,” the Vice-Chancellor said.
In about 6 years of existence, Kings University has grown fast, ramping up the acquisition of human resources, equipment and infrastructure required to become a world class tertiary institution. The University’s Learning Management System has been fully deployed and staff members adequately trained to optimize the use of the system.
