Google honours Nigerian Ebola hero, Dr Adadevoh with doodle
Google, the most widely used search engine, has today, remembered the Nigerian female doctor, Dr Ameyo Stella Adadevoh who played a key role in curbing the spread of the Ebola virus in Nigeria.
As at the morning of Saturday, 27th October, Google had a doodle of the shero who was Lead Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist in a private hospital, on its search area.
Recall that Dr Adadevoh was the one who diagnosed the first Ebola patient in Nigeria, Patrick Sawyer, with the virus, even though she had never seen a person with the virus prior to that time.
She had despite pressures from the Liberian government, placed Patrick Sawyer in quarantine, thereby preventing the spread of the virus. But unfortunately, she contracted the virus and died on 19th of August, 2014.
