The English Premier league was alive again last weekend with lots of intrigue and excitement. Manchester City remain at the top of the league and are looking increasingly unbeatable while Arsenal triumphed over their North London rivals in a brilliant display on saturday.

One goal each from Gabriel Jesus and Kevin De Bruyne ensured Manchester City beat champions of two seasons ago, Leicester city. The citizens have now won a 10th consecutive victory in the premier league.

Arsenal overcame worries of drop in form to triumph over Tottenham Hotspurs in the latest North London Derby. An online comment on the match goes:

“Arsene Wenger implemented a high-pressing system against Tottenham Hotspur. He has found his diamond. It is imperative that he and Arsenal now persist with it.”

All the other big teams recorded wins as the race to the top four hots up in the run towards Christmas. Defending champions Chelsea, flogged Westbromwich Albion 4-0 in front of their fans while Manchester United defeated Rafael Benitez’s Newcastle in a 4-1 thriller at Old Trafford.
