After Liverpool whipped Manchester City 3-0 last night at Anfield, coach Jurgen Klopp was more subdued as he remarked that the battle is not over yet. Liverpool have to go to Manchetser and hope Pep Guardiola’s team doesn’t overturn the lead.

Far from going overboard, Jurgen Klopp gave a more sober reflection of a euphoric night at Anfield. After lauding his Liverpool team there was also quick application of reality ahead of the second leg against Manchester City next week.

“We will really have to work again like hell,” he said. “We are not in the next round. Why should I celebrate it? Let’s talk about that after the second game and we will see if we talk about the same thing or not.”

As for Guardiola, the Manchester City boss says his to-do list will now include trying to convince his players they can overturn their 3-0 deficit against Liverpool when the teams meet next Tuesday (19:45 BST).

Possibly his biggest challenge yet at City?
