Despite getting Mikhitaryan as part of the deal, it looks like Arsene Wenger is not happy with the departure of Alexis Sanchez.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has trolled Alexis Sanchez over his contract with Manchester United.

The Chile international became the Premier League’s best paid player when he joined the Red Devils on Monday, and Wenger took aim at the 29-year-old in his first press conference since the deal.

“Sanchez goes to a great club and has a great contract,” Wenger archly told reporters.

Arsene Wenger has also complained about the January transfer window. He recently said that the January transfer window is ‘more disturbing than ever’.

Although he is pleased to have replaced Alexis Sanchez with another ‘world-class’ player in Henrikh Mkhitaryan, he admits the January tranfer window has been ‘more disturbing than ever’.

Arsenal allowed Sanchez to join Manchester United on Monday to avoid losing the Chile international on a free transfer when his contract expired at the end of the season.

The Gunners received Mkhitaryan in exchange, with Wenger confirming the Armenia international has signed a contract running until June 2021.
