By making good use of the social media to promote their talent and creativity, some of them have commanded such great following that they are raking in huge cash by promoting goods and services as influencers.

Emmanuel Ogonna Iwueke popularly known as ‘Craze clown’, ‘Papa Ade’ or ‘Doctor craze’ is a popular Instagram comedian living abroad. He recently graduated as a medical doctor from a university in Ukraine. He is famous for his popular skits with his ‘son’ called ‘Ade’ (@Tegaa). Most of his videos are about African parents and their kids. Craze clown became an ambassador to NairaBet in 2016. He has also won a couple of awards as a comedian.

Wofai Ewa aka Wofaifada is a graduate of the University of Calabar. Wofai is an internet sensation and comedienne well known for her profoundly hilarious skits/ posts on Instagram. Wofai is also a fast-rising TV presenter, actress, MC and model. Wofai started making skits in 2014 and since then, she has worked with brands and famous celebrities on major projects.

Gloria Oloruntoba, popularly known as Maraji, is a 19-year-old who broke into the limelight as an undergraduate, with her lip-sync skills and short funny videos, which were initially recreations of hilarious movie scenes and Vox pop videos. She was featured in Falz ‘Something Light video, alongside Wofaifada. The Covenant University graduate won $5000 in a lip-sync battle.

Twyse, whose real name is Ereme Abraham is a UK-based comedian whose first skit was produced out of boredom and frustration with his school work. Twyse’s skits are distinct because of the uniqueness of the characters he creates, even of the women, old and young, crude and refined.

Damilola Olatunde, a Florida Memorial University MBA holder is popularly known as Aphricanape on social media. He resides in the US and has been putting out content since 2013. He was also featured on worldwide BBC Trending, earlier in the year. His handle is @AphricanApe.

Okuneye Idris aka Bobrisky, unlike everyone else who made it to this list, is not a comedian, but his personality has gained him so much traction on social media. The African male Barbie, who has consistently confused his fans about his gender and called out haters who wouldn’t let him enjoy his money in peace, always has a way of setting Insta on fire. His twerking skills, bae stories and recently his feature of his gateman called ‘Jacob’ have caused so much ripples on social media. IamKanmi’s real name is Ayokanmi Fakeye. He is a Nigerian living in America who has gone viral for his comedy skits which he shares on social media especially Instagram and YouTube. He plays the roles of Sade, Akanm D Boy and Daddy. He is also the reason why the phrase “bad gang” has become a slang and a hashtag on social media.
