SWITZERLAND, OCTOBER 28 – Sola Sobowale has emerged ‘Best Actress’at the African Movie Academy Awards 2019 for her hole in the blockbuster movie, ‘King of Boys’. Adesua Etomi-Wellington, who played the role of her daughter in the movie, emerged ‘Best Supporting Actress’.
AMAA which held in Lagos on Sunday was hosted by actress, Kemi Lala Akindoju, Lorenzo Menakaya and comedian, Funnybone.
For several years, AMAA has been pushing the African cinema to the world stage, awarding some of the best movies ever produced across Africa. The 2019 event was hosted at the Landmark Event Centre, VI, Lagos, Nigeria.
The show was hosts by the amazing Lala Akindoju, Lorenzo Menakaya and Funnybone.
