Two children kidnapped by their nanny found in Benin Republic

Nadia Mutana and Khalifa Mutana who were allegedly abducted from school last Monday by their nanny, Busayo were found by the Lagos state police command. The children who were six and three years of age were said to have been found in a location near the Seme border in Benin Republic on Sunday.

The states police public relations officer, Chike Oti, revealed to newsmen that Busayo was a member of a
kidnap group who gave her out as a domestic help to unsuspecting parents. Busola, having finally gotten a job with the Mutana’s swiftly made her way into the children’s heart and won the trust of her employers, which enabled her to carry out the kidnap.
Busayo was on Nov.26, 2018, asked by Mrs Mutana to go and pick the children from school as she (Mrs. Mutana) couldn’t do so due to the nature of her job. Busayo ceased the opportunity to execute the kidnap plan effortlessly.

The commissioner of police, Edgal Imohimi hereby warned households interested in engaging the services of domestic helps to beware of whom they were dealing with and to carry out background checks on persons they were bringing to their homes and profile them in order to make investigation easy for the police should the need arise.
