The governorship candidate of the APC in Lagos State, Babjide Sanwo-Olu is in Davos, Switzerland and has attended the ongoing World Economic Forum.
Although handpicked by Lagos godfather, Bola Tinubu to replace incumbent, Akinwunmi Ambode, Sanwo Olu has been making efforts to project his own leadership style and express his own unique vision for Lagos.
Today’s Echo gathers that Sanwo Olu attended the infrastructure and investment session at the World Economic Forum sponsored by Investec and had a private lunch session with CEOs.
He also met with Amb. Ralph Friedlander of the Swiss Agency for Development & Cooperation.
He announced this morning via a tweet:
“Yesterday I had lunch with CEOs & investors attending the World Economic Forum, after attending the infrastructure & investment session sponsored by Investec.We talked about opportunities in Lagos & how they can help accelerate our plans”
According to Sanwo Olu, he addressed investors concerns by pointing out that Lagos State is the economic nerve centre of the country and is the best environment for global investments
“Investors believe in stability & growth and my assurance is based on my belief that Lagosians will vote enmasse for our agenda in March.”
“The economy of Lagos is adjudged to be the 5th largest in Africa and our goal is to make the economy grow exponentially by making it a 24 hour economy. We will put security and other factors in place to help us achieve this,” Sanwo Olu added
