The lingering crisis between President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet and House of Representatives took a new shape on Thursday, as the lawmakers passed vote of confidence in the two presiding Ministers of Solid Minerals, Kayode Fayemi and Bawa Bwari.
Speaker Yakubu Dogara who read the letter sent to his office, noted that there was no need to issue warrant of arrest against them, as they are not worthy to appear before parliament.
According to the lawmakers, the moribund Ajaokuta Steel company limited, which has attained 98 percent completion level, leaving two percent, will save the country $17 billion foreign exchange and create over 2 million direct jobs and over 5 million indirect jobs.
The 40 components out of the 43 components have been completed so far.
According to Anthony Madubuwa, who made presentation on the floor of the House, disclosed that the sum of $1.4 billion is required to complete and commission of Ajaokuta Steel company limited.
