
Nigerian billionaire, Aliko Dangote has been invited to be a part of the New Economic Forum, a rival conference to the World Economic Forum, held each year in Davos, Switzerland.
The World Economic Forum was founded by Michael Bloomberg, the billionaire philanthropist, former Mayor of New York, and founder of the eponymous financial data company. will focus almost entirely on the rise of China and its knock-on effects. The conference will focus especially on the challenge China ultimately poses to the US as the world’s hegemonic power.
Former US Secretary of State and the father of modern Realpolitik Henry Kissinger; and financial crisis-era Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson are among those helping to launch the conference.The first edition of the event will be held in China this November.
