SWITZERLAND, JUNE 29 – The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has commenced the issuance of Certificate of Incorporation that come with Tax Identification Numbers (TIN) to newly registered companies.
With this new move, Nigeria has taken another step forward in its Ease of Doing Business(EoDB) agenda, enabling businesses to easily and quickly access resources and fulfil regulations that facilitate their operations.
This was contained in a statement issued by the CAC on Monday afternoon.
“This is to inform our esteemed customer that as part of the Ease of Doing Business Initiative, Certificates of Incorporation of Companies registered under Part A of CAMA will henceforth carry Tax Identification Numbers issued by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), ” the statement reads.
According to the CAC, this has dispensed with the need for companies apply for the issuance of Tax Identification Numbers from the FIRS after incorporation.
